Edward M. ("Mac") Archibald
has been a trial attorney in Seattle for more than 32
years. His
15 years of mediation and
arbitration experience make him a highly qualified mediator/arbitrator for a
wide range of cases.
Mac
received his J.D. from Hastings College
of the Law in 1970. He was a
member of Order of the Coif, Thurston
Society and Issue
Editor of the Law Review.
Mac was
admitted to the Washington State Bar
in 1970 and became a partner at Bogle and Gates
in 1976. In 1998, Mac left Bogle & Gates
to become a sole practitioner.
He is a trial lawyer with thirty-two
years of trial experience in both state and federal courts.
He has tried a broad range of jury
and non-jury cases including lawsuits involving admiralty, products
liability, insurance coverage, toxic
tort, personal injury (representing both plaintiffs
and defendants), construction, anti-trust,
professional
malpractice, employment law, condemnation, real estate,
and general commercial. He has
also served
as a mediator and arbitrator in more
than 1000 cases
over the past 5 years. The mediations
and arbitrations have been in cases
involving construction, personal injury, property damage, maritime law and insurance coverage.
